Hello!
My name is CHUCK D'IMPERIO and I LOVE Upstate New York!  I am a longtime award-winning radio broadcaster (more than 22 years on the air!), an inductee into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame as "New York's Broadcaster of the Year, 2000," a newspaper columnist and a writer of books about my beloved Upstate New York!
I also do a great deal of public speaking around the state talking about my research and my books.  The talks (more than 40 a year!) are lively and always a lot of fun!
I hope you will take a look at this website and my books and perhaps contact me about coming to your group, historical society, book fair, classroom or library so I may entertain your organization!
I write about famous people who are buried in Upstate New York, folk heroes who walked our pathways, historic communities both big and small, legendary NewYorkers and life in general in this beautiful area we call Upstate New York!
My schedule usually fills up quickly so I hope to hear from you soon, either by email or through my constantly updated........

AS OF 2012, I HAVE NOW SPOKEN TO MY 50th NEW YORK STATE HISTORICAL SOCIETY!  WHAT A FUN TRIP THIS HAS BEEN (SO FAR!)......

One of my greatest honors!  In 2011 I was the recipient of the New York State Daughters of the American Revolution Motion Picture, Radio and Television Award for....
"his multiplicity of accomplishments: an eminent Upstate New York Historian, an award-winning broadcaster, a celebrated book author and a popular newspaper columnist."
I received this honor (it was a surprise) at the NYS DAR convention in Syracuse, where I was the keynote speaker.  Previous winners include Lesley Stahl (60 Minutes), Antiques Road Show (PBS), Oliver Stone (director of World Trade Center movie) and Daniel Giat (screenwriter of Bury My Heart at WoundedKnee), and others.
